About the interviews
Purpose
LGBT individuals in Georgia are subject to social and political forces that constrain their individuality. For instance, traditional norms make it difficult, or even impossible, for many LGBT individuals to be the persons they want to be and lead the lives they want to lead.
The purpose of the interviews is to study the experiences of LGBT individuals in Georgia. How are they affected? How do they cope with such social constraints? What are their stories?
Method
To answer these questions, interviews are conducted with Georgian LGBT individuals. All interviews are fully anonymized.
Results
When the interviews are completed, the results will be analyzed and published in international journals. This will help the world to better understand the lived experiences of LGBT individuals.
Participate
If you have any questions, or if you are interested in participating, please contact me (see contact details above). We can schedule a meeting or an interview. The interview will take up approximately one hour of your time and will be conducted in a private setting.
Your identity will not be revealed under any circumstances.
Funding
The project is funded by the Swedish Institute (09005/2020).
